Starting Conditions
When you enter new information into boards like contacts, opportunities, or accounts, Auto Match checks existing data to prevent duplicates and link related items.
Information Matching Process
The add-on first checks for matching company names. If it finds a match, the new contact is linked to the corresponding company. If no company name match is found, Auto Match checks the website name to connect the new contact with the correct company. As a final step, the add-on scans for matching email domains to link the new contact to an existing company.
No Match Scenario
If no matches are found across these criteria, the add-on identifies the contact as new and adds it without any links.
